How To Dye Sublimate White Coated Sheet Metal

Step 1
  • Prepare your artwork and transfer with consideration to the size and shape of your sheet or cut sheet metal.
  • Using heat resistant tape, fasten the metal in position facing the printed side of the transfer.
  • If using Unisub metal make sure you remove the thin plastic protection film on the face of the metal.

  • Step 2

  • Spread a teflon sheet (or white paper) on the bottom of the press.
  • Lay the metal face–down (transfer, face–up) on the heat press.
  • Cover with teflon sheet (or white paper).


  • Step 3

  • Press for 45–55 seconds


  • Step 4

  • Remove the metal and transfer from the press.
  • Slowly peel the tape and transfer from the metal.
  • Allow to cool on a clean surface.
