A rep from the Ulano Corporation, demonstrated an Exposure Calculation Test. This test, when used in conjunction with your own positives, will help you determine the proper exposure time for each of the mesh counts used in your shop.
On his last visit to Lawson in St. Louis, George Legh-Page did a Ulano Exposure Claculator Test Tutorial Video. This reusable test should be used any time you change your emulsion, coating thickness, films, or exposure lamps. It will work with both inkjet film, and laser vellum. The Ulano KIWO ExpoCheck Exposure Calculator is available to order from Lawson.
This valuable, reusable test film allows screen printers to accurately determine their best exposure time. Make one test exposure and the neutral density filters simulate up to nine exposure times at once. Includes three different Ulano test positives for testing exposure on Fine, Medium and Course screen resolutions. Test every mesh count, every stencil thickness, every exposure speed or when you change coating or lamp procedures. Instructions are included. This is a must for inkjet and laser positives.
